Woodworking Tools Hand Saw
There are some guidelines to consider when using a handsaw.
1. First, determine the type of saw required for the job. If you want to cut wood, use a standard wood hand saw. For metal, you need a hacksaw. For fine woodworkers who need precise cutting, please use a Japanese see-saw.
2. Make sure your material has been properly secured. It is a challenge to safely and effectively see a piece of loose material. Before you start sawing, use a vise or clamp to hold the material firmly in place.
3. If possible, mark the material. Use a knife to mark the material where you want to cut. The groove will naturally pull the blade into it, making it easier to cut along the line.
4. Practice waste wood. If you don’t have experience with handsaws, make some cuts to the scrap wood before bringing the saw to the project. It allows you to learn how to use the saw without destroying your material.
5. Don't bow your head. Instead, let gravity do the work for you. Do not put most of the weight on the saw hand. Instead, put most of the weight on your hands to stabilize the workpiece to be cut and allow the weight of the saw to cut-this prevents the saw from biting into too much material without falling off in one bite, saving costs. Your arms will not wear out quickly.
